Dr. Phil-afel Foundation is launching a monthly community food drive in Hanover Park — and this campaign is how we make it happen.
Our goal is to reach 30 families every month with cooked plant-based meals (soups or burgers) or a practical food parcel. This is not a once-off event. We are building something consistent and reliable — month after month, for the families who need it most. We are aiming to launch in June 2026, and we need your support to make that happen.
Food insecurity in low-income Cape Town communities is not seasonal — it is constant. A family of five can go without a proper meal for days when money runs out before the month does. Our food drive is one way we commit to showing up reliably for the people in our community.
The base cost is R250 per family of five per drive. For R7,500 per month, we can reach 30 families. This campaign makes that possible — and with enough support, we can grow it.
Once-off donations are welcome. Monthly giving is what makes this sustainable.
Dr. Phil-afel Foundation is Section 18A approved. Donations are tax deductible, and certificates are issued on request.
